Gilbert Pumpkin Club – The Summer Edition: The Distressed Hat Collection 🤠🎃
The Summer Edition of Gilbert Pumpkin Club featured our much-loved Gilbert sporting a rather dashing cowboy hat. What could possibly go wrong? Well… disaster struck in the kiln!
A firing mishap caused the glaze on every single one of Gilbert’s hats to crawl, leaving us with a whole batch of distressed hat cowboys. With the quality we expect from Glosters, we had no choice but to remake the entire club from scratch. The result? Thousands of pounds in materials and countless hours of extra work.
But before these unfortunate little cowboys were destined for the landfill, we had a thought… perhaps their hats weren’t ruined after all?
Introducing the Distressed Hat Gilberts! Each one has its own wonderfully weathered, aged-looking cowboy hat. In fact, we think the effect gives Gilbert the look of a proper cowboy who’s spent a lifetime out on the ranch. 🤠
These are a little different from our usual Glosters finish, and that's exactly what makes them special. They're not quite what we planned, but we think they deserve a little love all the same.
By giving one of these Gilberts a home, you'll be helping us recoup a small part of the considerable cost of our kiln mishap, while also saving a perfectly good little pumpkin from heading to landfill.

All of the Welsh ceramics in our collection are made by hand in our workshop in Porthmadog, and all are eligible for flat rate £4.95 domestic UK shipping - what better excuse to get yourself new pottery mugs and stock up on Halloween decor and pottery gifts all in one go!

Delivery
Standard Delivery is £4.95 posted via Royal Mail 48 tracked 3-5 working
All orders are posted within 3-5 working days of you order being placed, in the event of an item being out of stock we will contact you. during busy launches dispatch may take longer.
All orders are posted using recycled packaging or recyclable materials where possible.
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery to report any damage, breakages or if you wish to return and item.
Returns
You must contact us within 7 days to arrange a return to our workshop, by emailing info@glosters.pro. Please allow 2-3 working days for a reply to your email.
If you do not contact us within 7 days of your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer a refund or replacement for broken items.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt, order number or proof of purchase.
Some types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, flowers, newspapers or magazines cannot be returned, some seasonal items, including mug & pottery club.

Pottery Care Instructions
Tableware
Can I put my tableware in the dishwasher?
Yes. All our ceramic tableware is dishwasher safe, including plates, bowls, and pouring and mixing bowls.
Can I use it in the microwave?
Yes, unless it has a metallic glaze. Metallic glazes can spark, so keep those pieces out of the microwave.
Will cutlery mark the glaze?
Occasionally, cutlery leaves grey marks on the glaze. Bar Keepers Friend removes them easily.
Mugs, muglets, mugsters & beakers
Can they go in the dishwasher?
Each handmade mug is made by hand, so we recommend washing it by hand too.
Can I microwave them?
We'd rather you didn't. To help your mug last longer, heat drinks in a jug or pan, then pour them in.
Jugs & vases
Are your vases watertight?
Yes. Each handmade vase has a clear glaze inside, so it holds water and keeps your flowers fresh.
How should I clean a jug or vase?
Wash them by hand.
